Casey Herman

Director, Former President

I’m a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers and manage our firm’s US Energy, Utilities and Mining practice. My wife Leigh Ann and our three children have lived in Lakeview since 2001. I became engaged in hunger relief over a dozen years ago as a board member of Feeding America, the nation’s network of food banks. As I learned more about the devastating impacts of food insecurity on families and communities it’s become ever more personally important to help end hunger, especially in my very own neighborhood where an astonishing 1 out of 9 of our neighbors is food insecure. I’ve had the good fortune to see many food banks and pantries across the US, and I can attest that through its dedicated and talented staff and volunteers, Nourishing Hope is truly a premier hunger relief agency providing both food and social services to those in new on the North Side of Chicago in a uniquely compassionate and respectful manner. I’m grateful for the opportunity to support the Pantry’s crucial mission of ending hunger in Chicago!

I graduated from Tulane University and now have two sons in school there. I didn’t grow up in Chicago, my father did – ironically just a few blocks from where my family and I live now – so I come by my affection for the Cubs honestly as a third generation Cubs fan!

Nourishing Hope Exists Because of the Support of Our Neighbors.
