Pantry Coordinator
Lauren is a Pantry Coordinator who joined Nourishing Hope in July 2024. Lauren’s passion for food access has led her to work in many different aspects of the food system such as the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the Kent County Food Policy Council, farmers markets, and restaurants.
As an advocate for decreasing food waste, she helped re-start a composting program this year at Sheridan! Her favorite parts of the job are connecting with volunteers and clients, composting, managing inventory, and practicing her Spanish. While she is not at work, she enjoys making art, exploring Chicago, trying new restaurants, and playing volleyball.
