Volunteer Engagement Coordinator
Meta Gorup joined Nourishing Hope as a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator in June 2024, after first connecting with the organization as a volunteer. She’s passionate about creating a welcoming and rewarding experience for all volunteers and finds daily inspiration in their dedication and generosity.
Before joining Nourishing Hope, Meta held roles in events and communications within professional associations and the government, and worked as a researcher in organizational sociology. Originally from Slovenia, her life and career have taken her across Europe and the US before settling in Chicago. In her free time, Meta enjoys spending time in nature, sampling pastries from local bakeries, and reading.
